Violation Manger

Users with the appropriate permissions can create, edit, and delete violation codes used by the agency for incident reports and citations.

Procedure
  1. In the left pane, select AdministrationAgency Configuration.
  2. On the Agency Configuration page, select Violation Manager.
    The Violation Manager page appears. If any violation codes have already been created, they are displayed in a list.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    Manually add a new violation code
    1. Click the Plus icon.

      If entries already exist, the new entry will be added at the end of the list.

    2. On the Add New Violation page, enter pertinent data for the new code.
    3. Click the Save icon to save the entry.
    Load violation codes using a spreadsheet
    1. Click the Download Offenses Template icon.

      Coplogic™ Ethos downloads a spreadsheet template to your computer. The template typically displays in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen, but this may vary depending on your browser and settings.

    2. Click the template to open it in your spreadsheet application.
    3. Fill in data in each column for each violation code you want to add.
    4. Name the spreadsheet and save it to your computer.
    5. In Ethos, click the Import Violation Codes icon.
    6. Navigate to the saved file on your computer and click Open to upload it toEthos.
    7. To see the imported violation code records on the list, click the Refresh icon
    Edit a violation code
    1. Locate the item in the list of existing records.
    2. Click the Edit icon.
    3. Make your changes.
    4. Click Save.
    Delete a violation code
    1. Locate the item in the list of existing records.
    2. Click the Delete icon.
    3. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
    Export violation code list to Microsoft Excel
    1. Click the Export Excel icon.

      Ethos downloads the code list as an Excel file. The file typically displays in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen, but this may vary depending on your browser and settings.

    2. Click the file to open it.
