Step 1 - Specify How Court Dates Are Assigned

The first step in setting up court date generation is to specify how Coplogic™ Ethos should assign court dates.

Procedure
  1. In the left pane, select AdministrationAgency Configuration.
  2. On the Agency Configuration page, select Court Calendar.
  3. On the Court Calendar page, click Generate Date.
  4. Under Date Generation, select one of the following options. Be sure to click Save after changing any settings.
    Move forward

    Use this option to specify how far out the court date should be from the ticket date.

    Examples: (1) For a ticket issued today, the court date will be in 14 days; (2) For a ticket issued today, the court date will be on the 3rd Wednesday from today.

    1. Place your cursor in the first field and click the up/down arrows to increment the setting.
    2. Place your cursor in the second field and select days, weekdays, or a specific day of the week.
    Based on day of week

    Use this option to assign court dates based on the day of the week the ticket is issued.

    Examples: (1) For a ticket issued on Sunday, the court date will be 21 days from the ticket date; (2) For a ticket issued on Friday, the court date will be on the 4th Thursday from the ticket date.

    1. Place your cursor in the first field for Sunday and click the up/down arrows to increment the setting.
    2. Place your cursor in the second field for Sunday and select days, weekdays, or a specific day of the week.
    3. Repeat steps a and b for remaining days of the week.
    Based on week of month

    Use this option to assign court dates based on the week of the month the ticket was issued.

    Examples: (1) For a ticket issued during the second week of the month, the court date will be 15 workdays from the ticket date; (2) For a ticket issued during the fourth week of the month, the court date will be on the 3rd Tuesday from the ticket date.

    1. Place your cursor in the first field for First (week) and click the up/down arrows to increment the setting.
    2. Place your cursor in the second field and select days, weekdays, or a specific day of the week.
    3. Repeat steps a and b for remaining weeks of the month.
    Based on form number digit

    Use this option to assign court dates based on the form (report) number.

    Examples: (1) For a form number with 5 as the last digit, the court date will be 28 days from the ticket date; (2) For a form number with 8 as the second to last digit, the court date will be on the 6th Monday from the ticket date.

    1. Specify the form number digit position to be used (Last or second-last) as the determining criteria.
    2. Place your cursor in the field next to 0 and click the up/down arrows to increment the setting.
    3. Place your cursor in the second field for 0 and select days, weekdays, or a specific day of the week.
    4. Repeat steps a and b for remaining digits 1-9.
