Scan Using Mobile Connect
Mobile Connect allows you to scan driver and vehicle registration documents and save
the data to a list so it can be used at a later time to populate fields in a
report or citation. This feature is especially handy when multiple officers are working the same incident.
For example, one officer may be scanning in DL information from involved parties, another officer may be capturing vehicle information for the involved vehicles, while a third officer creates the incident report and pulls the scanned data into the report.
Data scanned in using Mobile Connect is available for 24 hours to all officers in your agency. |
Procedure

Tap the Mobile Connect icon in the dashboard header.

On the Mobile Connect page, tap the Person icon to capture a DL (driver license) barcode. To capture a vehicle barcode, tap the
Vehicle icon instead.
Coplogic™ Ethos Mobile opens your mobile device's scan function.

Aim your device's camera at the barcode on the DL or vehicle registration form or VIN (vehicle identification number) decal.
When Mobile Connect recognizes the barcode, it automatically scans it and loads the captured data to the Mobile Connect page on your phone.
